After signing a 20-year leisure contract with Northeast Derbyshire Council, the Pulse Design & Build Team was briefed on the complete redevelopment of the redundant Killamarsh Active Community Centre. With the aim of becoming a community-centric space with a variety of activities, a brand-new outdoor multi-play section replaced the 3G football pitch and the two-storey gym was transformed into an 80-station premium workout space. Designed to be inclusive and accessible, the changing village was complete with a shower block, changing facilities and fully accessible amenities which incorporated a ceiling hoist. With its state-of-the-art equipment, knowledgeable staff, and welcoming atmosphere, Killamarsh Community Centre has become a hub of activity for local residents.
